Using a combination of “Ableton live” and “Finale”, I was able to strengthen my compositions in a satisfying way. In “Finale” I was able to write everything from instrument solos to orchestral arrangements, and then assign the sounds and effects in “Ableton live”. Also, I made use of some of my almost forgotten ideas recorded in “Logic” a couple of years ago, and I put it together in a way I always wanted to try.
I think one of the important things I’ve discussed with other students, is that the implementation of too many ideas in the same composition can disrupt the meaning of the song, and make it indistinct for the audience. So I do my best to solve this.
